A little incentive to do the dishes
This has been one crazy summer! But in a desperate search for some sort of balance I found a little time to whip out some more dishcloths since my last post. I can't stop! I am in a just-one-more mentality and have been consistently putting off blog posts, "just until I finish this one." It's gone on too long!
Apart from ballband mania, I have been doing a lot of perusing and planning on Ravelry lately. I just want echo all of the comments out there that this is the best new thing on the internet these days. It makes research and planning so easy! I have a list of things I want to make, I am dreaming of the weather getting cool enough for wool (and hauling the big blanket out of my closet), and I am feeling optimistic about some empty spaces in my calendar for the fall. This week I ordered yarn for the first time since I went home LAST NOVEMBER. It has been a long dry spell, I suppose.
Well, I'm running out of Sugar 'n Creme so I am waiting for the doorbell to announce the postman and the latest delivery from my mom. Then it's back to the dishrags.

Wow! That is a lot of dish rags. The colors are great! I should remember those when I need a good DVD knitting project.
I too have really been enjoying Ravelry. I especially heart the "add to ravelry queue" bookmarklet. The friends blog activity has been nice too. I was a bit overzealous in the number of feeds I added to my bloglines and I'd often miss posts from my fave rave blogs. It's nice to have them all in one place. There are a few things that bug me, but I'm hoping those get ironed out as it gets close to its public launch.
