This is just a test

The good, the bad and the ugly of my first experiment with stranded knitting, Carole style.

The good: I did it!

Click on the photo to see the inside. It's great!

The bad: The beginning/end of each row in the middle of the pattern was a little iffy. A tense night, maybe.

The ugly: I don't know what's worse. All these ends and having no idea how to weave them in or just the awful technicolor yarn. The jury is still out on whether I'll be making another or even finishing this, for that matter.

But I did it!!

Learning something new is always a good thing.

About the ends, it's too late for this but you could have joined them at the changes, thus eliminating the "ends". http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/basic_techniques/misc.php

Hey, at least you tried something new! And that's definitely good.

Hey, nice job on the stranding!
That's what I meant when I had reservations about the colors in that selection. Try to stick to the shade runs (lt-med-dk) and maybe it won't look so *easter egg-y*.
(Heading to check out Marina's suggestion.)

I think you did a "Good" job. It's pretty!

The "Bad" isn't really that bad.

The "Ugly"? You could just make a lining out of plain black. Screw the ends!

Hats off to you for attempting such a thing!! And hey Easter is coming............go girl!
