Kimono Mondays
Not much knitting going on around here... it's kimono Monday! I spent most of the night at my kimono lesson learning to tie my obi like this! Actually, now I am learning something more difficult and using this obi that weighs about 20 pounds. It's no good for my sore elbow, but I'm sure Sarah is happy to know that she is probably whizzing ahead of me on her Clapotis. I'm making progress SLOWLY, but surely.
It's 11:45 and I have been trying to go to bed for two hours now. After making my lunch for tomorrow, getting everything ready, and getting ready for bed, I had to check up on the knitting blogs before bed. Isn't this sad? I am so tired but it is just something I have to do. If I don't read them now, there will be more piled up keeping me awake tomorrow night!! Of course, I enjoy reading everyone's blogs, but there are just SO MANY with so many clever ideas and interesting commentaries that I can't seem to keep up!
Then, of course, I realized that it had been a while since I updated my own good old blog, so here I am doing "one last thing" before bed. I'm so tired! Hopefully there will be more time for knitting tomorrow. Goodnight!

Comments
This is my first comment, but I've been lurking here for awhile. I really enjoy your site.
I am envious of the kimono class. That would be such fun, but as I'm in the US, there is not anything like that, at least that I know of.
When I visited my sister in Japan one of her PTA ladies was taking kimono lessons and came over and dressed us up. It was such fun!

Tell me Molly, is there something that you don't try? Kimono classes, tea classes...your classes where will you stop?
I'm aussi verte de jalousie que la vilaine sorcière du Magicien d'Oz.
Evite de faire trop d'efforts inutiles pour soigner ton "elbow". Sorry but it's late and I'm really tired so my English m'abandonne.

SP.

What a great picture of you in your kimono! I keep forgetting you live in Japan, somehow, since we're all so virtually connected. ;-)

I want to go to Kimono class as well, I am so envious. I love your picture. What a lovely Obi. Hope your elbow feels better.
