It's an anniversary bash!*
So it was one year ago at Thanksgiving when my mom showed me how to knit (again) and I became mildly obsessed with the whole thing. We managed to turn the whole holiday into somewhat of a knitfest. I remember at one point knitting at the dining room table...
Anyways, my poor family doesn't have to deal with that this year! In honor of the one-year celebration I stayed in and did a bit of knitting! I finished my wristwarmers!
What a lame accomplishment, huh? Well at least I'm doing something! I'm also working on the Misty Garden scarf by Jo Sharp in Scarf Style. It was a big Christmas gift surprise, but then I realized that no one who reads my blog is getting this scarf or anything like it so I have nothing to lose. Check it out:
I really like this scarf! Even though I made a lot of mistakes in the first 10 inches or so, I can hardly tell. Now its easy going so I'm hoping I can finish this off and cast on for some more Christmas fun later this weekend. I have been listening to Bing Crosby's White Christmas that I got in the mail from my dad, and it sure motivated me to get going on the Christmas knitting! Now that I have this wristwarmers it is not so hard to get my fingers moving in this chilly apartment. I hope everyone had a fab Thanksgiving!
*I can't stop using the word bash ever since one of my English teachers told me it was his word of the week.
