Daylight fading...
Today after work I raced home and took some shots of the back of my cable sweater in the last moments of daylight. Check it out:
It is quite curly, so after taking this shot I straightened it all out with a few pins on my futon.
Taking the pictures in daylight really changes things! The color looks a lot more realistic in this shot than it did in the other ones. Here is a closeup of those lovely cables!
Now that I’ve proven to myself that I can, in fact, knit cables, I think I’m ready to take on some new challenges. But I don’t know exactly what. I guess I’ll keep plugging along on my various works in progress and reevaluate after Christmas.
In response to your question, Dad, no, I don’t just go for a walk in the neighborhood for fun. I go for 3 or 4 bike rides a day so I can take in as much scenery as I want and get all the exercise I need. This way, I have all the more time for knitting, even though it still doesn't seem to be enough.
And Mum, yes I am using the Interweave Knits Winter 2003 pattern for progressive gloves. It’s great because you can use just about any yarn at any gauge and just figure out how many stitches you need that way. It involves a little math, but so far the results have been good.

The sweater looks great! Coincidentally, I just got out that Interweave to make some fingerless gloves!
