Time flies...
Today I took the day off from work and I was thrilled because I planned on sitting at home and knitting all day! Then I realized that I had some errands to run, so I figured I would go out for an hour or two, and then come home and knit all afternoon! When I finally got home after about 4 hours, I was hungry so I made dinner. And I had to make lunch for tomorrow. Now its 9:30 and somehow all I managed to do was knit a few rows on my blanket while I was on the phone with my mom and dad this morning. How did that happen?
Luckily I forced myself to stay up until I finished the sleeves of my current project last night. Check ‘em out:
I pinned one out for the full view, and that is its curled up counterpart to the right. I knit these at the same time on a circular needle and it was the best idea! I think I would have been way too bored to knit another sleeve after doing one… now I’m all finished and I get to start the body pieces that have *cables*!! What fun! Well there are only two cables, but I think that is right up my alley. You can see the pattern (from teami daisuki) in the background, and what else is that? Why, it’s my new knitting notebook! While I was at the 100¥ store today, I grabbed a 26-ring binder (don’t ask) and some paper so that I can finally keep track of my various projects, yarns, gauges, etc. I am really bad about keeping track of all that, so its about time I got myself together. It’s too confusing especially when I have more that one thing going on at one time. Plus I am still adjusting to the Japanese yarn labels and converting them to make American patterns… it’s about time I write it all down in one place.
Here is a closeup of the fabric. Fabric? is that the right word? It's a little dark because I didn't take these photos until just now. Daylight sure did fade fast.
I really like this yarn because it's pretty plain and easy to knit with, but it has little black flecks in it that make it plain-fun and not plain-boring.
Well that’s all for now. I THOUGHT I would have a lot more progress on various projects to show off tonight, but I guess that will just have to wait.

I hate it when the day flies away like that! I'm glad you left a comment, Molly -- I'd lost track of you. Glad you're doing well in Japan!

someone makes a 26-ring binder? Haha!
I love that color, it's so luscious. The flecks of black are perfect.
