The lazy days of summer are pretty busy around here!

No stellar knitting progress these days, as I've been keeping busy with my mom organizing for a gigantic garage/moving sale this Thursday and Friday.

Here is a picture of me getting lost in all my childhood glory--rediscovering all the great outfits that my mom made for my dolls (why is this picture so fuzzy, you ask? no idea). How could I part with any of it? I managed to weed out a few things that I don't REALLY need to keep, but we still have lots of work to do. Nevertheless, I have found the time to sneak online and refine my ever-changing blog. Thanks to everyone that helped with techincal advice and nice words about the site, especially Erica who helped me navigate some of the ins and outs of typepad.

Today the big excitement is the IMDB search that I successfully planted in my links in the right column. If you've never been to the Internet Movie Database, now is the time to check it out! Not only can you pick up movie times, but also information about any movie, new or old, and full chronology of your favorite actor or actress' movie career. It's particularly useful (this is a relative term) if you're stumped playing 6 Degrees of Separation.

I recently got these great new colors of Lamb’s Pride for some serious felting action. Last night I watched the French movie 8 femmes (look it up on imdb) and I started the felted trivet from Felted Knits. I’m almost done! There’s nothing like speed knitting on size 13 needles. I decided to make some homemade gifts to bring with me to Japan—so the oven mitt and trivet are my first endeavor.
